Hot weather these days. In the 90's.

Fall is just around the corner though. Not unusual to get cold or even some snow in September.

Started on the stone work this weekend:

Got the new roof put on the old part of the house last weekend:

This week, a concrete contractor is going to pour a stamped concrete porch (9x11) at the front door. Eventually, I will build a gable roof over it but for now the roof will just be like this.

They are also going to be pouring a 28x30 slab for the new detached garage.

Saturday night Barn dance

Fred and I decided to take a night off from working and went to Kleffner Ranch in East Helena to a barn dance.  It was actually called a Renaissance Ball and a few people were dressed for the time period. Fred and I may dress up for it next year.

DEMO DAY #2

Today, Fred took off the front porch.  We had taken the roof and most of the rafters off yesterday.

Yesterday I took off a piece of siding from where the old bathroom was and this date was written on the outside.

Since we had a dump trailer rented, we decided to haul a bunch of stuff to the dump including the big Satelite dish.  We had a man pull up beside us and tell us he thought we had a downed UFO we were hauling.

And of course, I have to include pictures of the dogs every now and then.
