Mexico again
On our last day in Mexico we visited the Turtle Farm.
La Tortuga Granja - The Turtle Farm
Isla Mujeres is the ancestral hatching ground for the giant sea turtles that lay their eggs in the soft sand from May through September. The eggs are gathered and placed in pens at the Turtle Farm to keep them safe from predators. Depending on the time of year, you can see hundreds of baby turtles in the outdoor holding tanks. From August to October they are released into the by the children of the island (as well as many tourists). After the last release there are only a few turtles housed within the main building. The ones that are living their life at the Tortuga Granja have a rare disease that makes them albino and unable to withstand any time in the sun. Even the sun’s reflection on the water can kill them. Others have been injured and are receiving care until they can go back to the sea.
Can you spot the fish?

Mexico #3
On Wednesday, we decided to go to Dolphin Discovery and swim with the dolphins.
Here is the "batman" pose. The dolphins swim up behind you and you grab onto their fins.
A dolphin kiss
"Shaking hands"
Having dolphin "stand up" and touch our hand
"Superman" - You float on your stomach with arms and legs stretched out. The dolphins swim up behind you and push you up in the water by pushing up on the bottom of your feet with their noses.
Just petting and posing
We even got to feed and swim with manatees.

Mexico 2016 (cont'd)
On Tuesday we rented a golf cart and rode around the whole island.
We went to Punta Sur
Punta Sur - The Mayan Temple, Sculptures and Breathtaking Views
Punta Sur is located at the southern tip of Isla Mujeres, 20 meters above sea level, where the rising sun first touches Mexican soil. This is the highest elevation in the Yucatan and home to an ancient temple honoring the Mayan Moon Goddess. Visitors can look out from its steep, naturally carved cliffs toward awesome views of Cancun and the bay.
Later that day we went riding around again.
