May 31st another beautiful day but windy

Organization - ain't it grand?!

Yesterday Fred and I (but mostly Fred since it's his "baby") organized the garage. Soon I will be able to pull my car into it.

Here is Smokey relaxing before his night of prowling.

I walked up the hill and took this picture of "The Old Homestead".

Here is our Lilac bush.

Fishing Story

Terry and I went fishing again yesterday after doing some work around the house. She managed to hook an old fishing line and when we pulled it in it had a live fish on one end of it! (We never found the fisherman).

We didn't get a picture of it but here is a video of Terry casting.

Happy Memorial Day!

It doesn't look like much now, but we seeded the yard Saturday and Sunday. So hopefully, we will have some grass growing soon. We have been watering it and we had a nice slow rain yesterday. Bought some hanging plants to give it a little color.

YEAH! AFTER 3 YEARS I FINALLY CAUGHT A FISH OR TWO!!!
We went fishing this afternoon and I caught two rainbow trout. Fred had just moved to another spot to fish when I caught my first one. He was around when I caught my second.

On my recent trip to Aiken, I was able to go see Brandon play baseball. Here he is warming up to pitch. He got the save for the game by striking out the one batter he faced.

Here he is at bat.

Before the game warming up at third.

Bailey Bridge II

Last week I got to go help put up another temporary bridge where an old bridge had washed out. This one was in Eastern Montana, about 500 miles from here. We put in some long hours and got the bridge open in a few days time. Beats sitting in the cubicle!

We built the bridge on one side of the creek on rollers. Then pushed the bridge across to the other side.

This picture shows the bridge when it is about half way across:

I set up the timelapse camera and made a video of the whole process. It is too big to put on the internet though.
