DEMO DAY #2

Today, Fred took off the front porch.  We had taken the roof and most of the rafters off yesterday.
Yesterday I took off a piece of siding from where the old bathroom was and this date was written on the outside.
Since we had a dump trailer rented, we decided to haul a bunch of stuff to the dump including the big Satelite dish.  We had a man pull up beside us and tell us he thought we had a downed UFO we were hauling.
And of course, I have to include pictures of the dogs every now and then.

DEMO DAY (June 24th)

Yesterday Fred took the day off and we started the demo on the house.  The first part to come off was the back porch/bathroom.  We (Fred, Brandon and I) all had a chance to tear some of it down.
This is the bathroom that no longer exists. Yeah!

Here is Brandon helping Fred remove screws from the roof so we could take it off.
The start of the demo.  Brandon got first swing. He knocked down the whole porch.

Cabin Creek Trip

This past weekend Fred, Brandon and I along with some friends - Dave and Tammy went camping in West Yellowstone at Cabin Creek Cabin.  The first night we camped at the trailhead.  We had sun, rain and sleet.  It must have gotten down to about 30 degrees because there was ice on the truck the next morning.

On Saturday we four-wheeled up to the top of the mountain then hiked in to the Cabin Creek Cabin.
Saturday evening Fred and Brandon cut down a tree using a cross-cut saw.  After the tree fell, all of us had a contest to see who could cut thru the tree the fastest.  Fred and I won with 16 seconds.
Sunday morning Fred and I headed out first to the top of the mountain to four-wheel back down to the truck.  David, Tammy and Brandon started out about an hour later just to have to turn back and go to the cabin because there was a grizzly bear on the trail.  It was probably there when Fred and I were hiking but we weren't lucky enough to see it.  It hung around about 10-15 minutes then made its way up the trail and into the willows.
