House Progress

Fall is here and our landscapers just finished up their work. After almost 3 years of dirt and construction materials all around the place, it sure is nice to have it done. We made the patio pretty large and included an area for a firepit. Eventually we plan to have a carport roof that will extend from the back of the house to the little cabin. Over the winter I plan to enlarge the solar shed into a shop. It is 16x20 now and I will enlarge it to 28x40. Cold weather is here so I am in a hurry to get the concrete placed. I was able to get it formed up and the gravel placed this weekend and hope to pour it Friday.

Our Trip to Many Glacier

Last weekend, Fred and I took most of the weekend off and went to Glacier National Park and stayed in the Cutbank and Many Glacier campgrounds. We saw 4 Grizzly bears, 6 moose and some mountain goats. It was windy and cold at night.  Here are some pics and videos from our trip.

Our first night of camping we stayed at Cut Bank Campground.  There were fire restrictions in place so we had to improvise for roasting hotdogs.

The dogs asking "Can we come out, please?"

A grizzly we saw on the boat ride over to the Grinnel Lake Trail

This pic was taken looking through the binoculars

Some of the people that were on the boat with us.

One of the moose (we saw a mother and her calf) that we saw while waiting on the boat to take us back across the lake that we decided not to take.

We took a boat ride and hiked to Grinnel Lake. Instead of riding the boat bike we decided to hike back to the hotel.

Two pooped out pups!
