Summer Visit 2016
Brandon and I went to Montana for a week. We had a good visit. Got some things done around the new place.

"Fireplace"
For the last
3 weekends my friend Melvin and I have been building the fireplace. It is actually going to be an alcove for a wood stove but it will look similar to a fireplace. I am hoping to get most of the masonry done before cold weather this fall. It is much harder to do this kind of work in the cold.
Shadow found the coolest spot in the house to lay down-right under foot.
The blocks have rebar running horizontally and vertically and are filled with concrete. Melvin built the form for the lintel and we poured it full of reinforced concrete yesterday.
