Summer Vacation part 1

Brandon and Terry came for a visit last week. Here are a few photos of our vacation. 

Here is the "sheep wagon" that Brandon slept in. I built it to fit on our utility trailer so we can haul it around and use it as a camper in the future.

There is a single bed that can extend to a double bed and also has a table tucked away underneath.

The canvas top was custom made for it and makes it very bright inside during the day.

One day we cooked some biscuits up on the campfire in a cast iron pot.

I'm sure Terry will post more photos later.

Summer is here early this year

Last week I visited a friend of mine from work at his place. He has a great big Percheran horse that he uses for logging, packing and even riding. It is huge but very gentle.

He also has a few fox dens on his land. Here are some young ones.

And I took this photo of a Golden Eagle over near York.

Also, we have a signed contract to buy a piece of land near York. This will be about 8 miles closer to work. It is 1.4 acres but will be big enough I think. The property is the flat part and the hillsides are Forest Service Land.
