Finally! Our Honeymoon! Part 1

Well, after almost 8 years of wedded bliss, Fred and I finally had our honeymoon. We went to Cancun, Mexico and had a wonderful time.  We met up in the airport and then headed to our hotel - Fiestamericana Condessa.

We had several restaurants to choose from for dinner. On the first night, we chose El Mexicano. Imagine that, eating at a Mexican restaurant in Mexico.

 The weather was great. There was only one day when we had any great amount of rain, but we were able to get a couple hours on the beach before it began. 

          Every night  they had a some kind of activity. One night we saw a Mexican dancers. 

Another night we saw Circa Rock. It was a Mexican Rock Band playing Classic Rock with acrobats and other acts.

Basin Creek Camp Robber

Some of you may remember that back in 2005 I bought a 10 acre piece of land on Basin Creek, built a small cabin there then sold it.

Today I drove down to the area to look at some other nearby land that is for sale. There have been several cabins built in the area in the last few years.

Here is the little cabin and also a new larger cabin that the current owners built on the place..

As I was hiking around, this little camp robber came up to me. I got out my camera and took his picture as he hopped closer. I wondered what would happen if I extended my arm out..

I guess one of the cabin owners has trained him to eat out of their hand!
