SUMMER FUN - A HODGEPODGE

Shadow relaxing in the grass while the rest of us worked.

We had a little girl, Grace, come home with us last week from church to play with Brandon. They had a lot of fun. They rafted down the creek, rode bikes, fished, shot the air-rifle at targets and played some Wii.

Quackers, the duck we found when we got back from our camping trip at Virginia City. He has grown quite a bit.

Yesterday Fred let Brandon loose on the 4-wheeler, but not without some safety lessons and practice with Fred first. Brandon is having a blast riding it.

Fred and Shadow chilling on the bridge after a hard day of working.

A wild rose down by the creek
A transplated iris from Townsend MT to here. My friend Margie brought me some bulbs last year and I planted them in hopes of having some blooms this year.

Mama's visit and water wheel

Mama and Brandon flew up on the 29th of May. The following weekend we took the camper and went to Yellowstone National Park. It rained pretty much the whole time we were there but we did have some dry time to enjoy a campfire.

Brandon and Fred built a water wheel. I helped some by cutting some of the boards for it. It is pretty cool to sit and watch the wheel go.

The pictures are out of order but I think you can figure out which is which :)

Fort and porch roof

Brandon decided to build a fort...

He's driven every nail himself. Looking good Brandon!

Here is the new porch roof we added to the house. The wood was all cut on the sawmill.
