Blizzard!

Friday evening I came home and worked on the roof. Nice and warm- in the 50s. I didn't quite get done so I covered the rest with a tarp since there was rain/snow in the forecast.

Shadow was snooping around and found this antler a deer had dropped nearby. She was very excited to show it to me. (Deer lose their antlers around March)

Good thing I covered the roof! Woke up to 6 inches of snow and as of 6:30 Sat. have about 14 inches and it is still snowing hard. Here is the 4 wheeler:

The power went out at 5 Am and was off until about 2 Pm. We have gas heat so it was warm enough. The scanner I bought last year to monitor the forest fire chat came in handy today. I could hear the utility company workers' transmissions and heard when they were getting ready to turn the power back on.

Nice and dry inside so I was able to get quite a bit done in the addition. The wiring is almost done. The plumbers are supposed to be here on Friday, but the snowfall may delay that.

I also plowed the driveway with the tractor. In the past, when it was too cold to start the tractor, we would have to pay someone $90 to plow. This is only the third time in 3 years that it had to be plowed.

It may be Monday before the County Road gets plowed.

Of course I had to take another picture of the bridge!

More Roofing

After church, I worked a few hours on the roof. It started to snow again after I got most of this side on.

I thought it would be fun to try and make a time lapse video. I set the still camera up on a tripod and took pictures using the time delay.

Hopefully I can get it all done this week.

Roof

I took off work yesterday and was able to get a start on the roof in the afternoon.

The new roof is green. When we get to working on the exterior of the old part of the house, the white roof there will be replaced with a green one.

That was where I left off yesterday.

Woke up to snow this morning. Got about 2 inches. No work today.
